transfixed atwixt two rivers
"entre dos aguas" i am
these two rivers, the banks
between them, form islands
at times
but their waters never mingle
only the sussurrus of their mighty
flows echo forth in the fjord
as one
a noise as white as the effulgent
waves of moonlit currents
singing like the sun
not even the dart-like minnows
cross from side to side
a silver-bullet limbo
a fishy armistice
a piscatorial moratorium...
though
often in my mind do I dream
of a great flood
i needn't even breathe in this
peacefully submerged in
Oneness
in Wholeness
so thus i dance for the God of rain
with mangled feet on a trodden plain
